The hype is real so say goodbye to Hollywood

Hell yes, what a great week in my shitty life. I turn 21 tomorrow and thats all good and dandy but the real thing that I can't wait for is Wrestlemania 21 this Sunday live from the fake-ville a.k.a Hollywood.

Biggest thing in the year for me is Wrestlemania. Its the culmination of everything that goes on in the WWE and I am so pumped up for it. Its just an awesome experience every year and I love it.

So just to pump me up some more and such I will now go down the card of Wrestlemania and give my opinions and such. I will even throw my predictions in.

Womans Title Match-
Trish Stratus vs. Christy Hemme
-Well this is all the womans division is throwing at us. I thinks its only on the card to get the WWE newest girl in Playboy on the card. Still, they have built up this match greatly for a womans title match and I wish Christy was a good or trained wrestler cuz that would make this match so much more than it is. It should still be interesting to see what Christy has learned in here short time training.
Prediction: Well, as much as I feel WWE wants there newest Playboy covergirl to win I don't think they would put the belt on someone who isn't really a wrestler yet so my prediciton is for Trish to retain.

Sumo Match-
The Big Show vs. Akebono
-Well this match is basicly a spectavle more than a match. A sumo match, hmmmm? Well anyways it will be cool to see two guys this size in the ring at the same time. Wondering exactly how the match will go down. I know a lot of American fans don't really care for this but it really doesn't bother me. It gives the great Japanese fans something special and should be interesting for what short time it should be on.
Prediction: If it is a real competition than Akebono will win because its his match. But if its fixed and such, Big Show will win just because he is the WWE's boy.

Rey Mysterio vs. Eddie Guerrero-
- This one should be awesome. I hope both guys pull out all the stops for this and steal the show. They have been in some great matches in the past so heres hoping for a 5 star match. Odd that both are faces and I wonder if either guy will be turning in this one. Its been slowly built and is looking to be a good encounter between friends.
Prediction: I predict Rey will win this one as I feel WWE finally realizes his potential and want to push him big. I also expect a possible Eddie turn after the match if Rey wins to turn Eddie heel and possibly reuinite him with Chavo.

Money in the Bank Ladder Match-
Kane vs. Edge vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Christian vs. Chris Jericho vs. Chris Benoit
-Now this one has been built up superbly and has the ingredients to be fucking great. Should be a awesome sight all around and some of the style clashes should work great. All guys are perfect for this match. Christian, Edge, and Y2J have proven they know how to make a ladder match special. Benoit also can probably work great with a ladder. Shelton has the style and insane quickness to do some cool stuff as well. And Kanes involvement should counter the quickness of the other guys and give this match a unique edge with his power.
Prediction: Hard pick here, real hard. I don't see Shelton or Benoit winning this one at all. Both are good but don't really need this win as Shelton still has his IC Belt to focus on and Benoit was world champ not long ago and doesn't need to be in the hunt quite yet. So then, what else, Kane could be a surprise winner and has been built to look strong in this and Y2J came up with the idea for this match so winning it would be good for him but I think the winner will be one of the full blown heels. Edge and Christian, wow, not so sure, Christian could take it and build into a main eventer afterwards nicely as the underdog but I feel the winner will be the heel they have already built up strongly with some big wins since he turned and that man is Edge.

Randy Orton vs. Undertaker-
-This is one should be pretty good. Taker needs a good match as he has been stale to me for awhile now and Randy is looking good again now that he is back to being the "Legend Killer". Good premise for the match in legend vs. legend killer and the build up has been good on Randy's side. Taker's buildup has been the same, cheesy supernatural stuff he pulls all the time and has kinda made me angry about the matchup. But otherwise, to me both guys have somthing to prove and I hope they can pull off something good.
Prediction: The hardest of all. Who can win this. Taker has a streak of 12-0 at Wrestlemania and thats a big deal but Randy is the future and ending the Takers streak would be a big career booster. I feel Orton will win since it seems WWE wants him to be huge in the future. But apparently Orton has a bum shoulder and may be out after Mania which almost makes me want to say Taker will win again but my pick is still Randy Orton ending the Takers Wrestlemania streak.

Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels-
-The match I'm most looking forward too. HBK is my favorite of all time and Kurt is one hell of a performer. This could end up being one of the best matches ever and I really hope it is. Both guys are phenomenal and will step it up at Mania. The buildup has been perfect with plenty of great moments I will never forget. The attacks on each other, Jannetty's return, Scary Sherri, and of course the hilarious rendition of HBK's them by Kurt. "I'm just a sexy Kurt, I'll make your ankle hurt" OMG was it funny. I simply cannot wait for this and expect great, great, great things.
Prediction: Tough one as both don't really need and the winner doesn't really matter because the match should be phenomenal. As much as I will be pulling for my boy Shawn to win this, I feel Kurt will be going after a world title soon after so I expect him to win.

WWE Heavyweight Title Match-
JBL vs. John Cena
-This one could be interesting. Not expecting a great match but this should be a fun straight-up brawl. JBL can do some good in there but Cena has been looking worse and worse in the ring everytime I see him. The buildup could have been a little better but its still be good with some great promos from both men.
Prediction: All signs point to Cena winning, but I'm not so sure. I expect only one of the World Belts to change hands tonight and just because I hope WWE doesn't put the strap on Cena so bad I expect this one will be the one to not change hands. Winner JBL.

World Heavyweight Title Match-
Triple H vs. Batista
-Not sure what to expect here. Both can be good in the ring but I don't see there styles working together well here. Heres hoping I;m wrong and this is a good match. The buildup to Batista turning on Triple H was fantastic and was one of the best storylines in the WWE in ages. Then things kind of just coasted along and didn't really build up too much steam. Still the excitement is still there and I for one am ready for this one to finally happen.
Prediction: Well, Batista is my pick. They have built him up great and the fans love him right now. I'm not sure how big Batista can be not feuding with HHH but I have some faith and hope his reign can be a good one. I just hope the fasn don't turn on him when its basically been them that got him this title shot.

Well, there it is. The card to the biggest Pay-Per-View of the year. I for one, can't wait and expect to see some great shit this Sunday. See you there.

Turning 21

Well, here I am 3 years out of high school and I really havent done much. I am now gonna be 21 and YAY I can drink legally now.

I've been drinking alcohol since I was 15 anyway and all that will change is now I can go get it myself. I may be in the bar tonight at midnight and if not the next day. Turnin 21 means I can now become an alcoholic like everyone else in my family and in this whole shitty town.

Well, happy b-day to me on March 30. Now I can finally be drunk all the time . . . legally.

TV shows you never miss

another idea from http://www.blogideas.com/

Well, I don't really watch or pay attention to TV and shows like I used to. The only shows I actually watch out for anymore are Smackdown and Raw. Wrestling seems to be the only thing I want to watch anymore. I will watch Comedy Central shows sometimes and if I see its near 11 I will tune in to see The Daily Show.

TV just sucks anymore. I used to know which shows I wanted to watch each day had a schedule of sorts for knowing what I was going to watch. I watched NBC shows a bit then and was sure to catch "ER", "West Wing", and even "Friends" sometimes. Now I could care less as everything on the networks is real crappy and cheesy. I can't stand reality TV anymore either. Sure Survivior was cool the first time around but whatever. Who cares about real people anyway, they are boring and suck. Maybe someday I will care again but not anytime soon, I know that. For now though, Wrestling, The Daily Show, and the videogame channel is all I will be watching. Fuck you TV.

03/14/05 RAW Review

Okay, here we go. First time I will review Raw and what a show it was. Let's go . . .

Show opened to the Highlight Reel with Jericho on top of a ladder in the middle of the ring talking about the money in the bank ladder match at Wrestlemania. Then he introduces his first guest, Randy Orton.

Orton comes out and say how he is gonna beat the Undertaker at Wrestlemania and leave his legacy and then out comes JAKE THE SNAKE ROBERTS as Jericho's second guest. It was fucking awesome to the Snake back in a WWE ring and even though he looked pretty bad due to his drug addictions it was still a treat to see him and kudos to the WWE for this surprise. The Snake tells Orton about knowing when to shut his mouth and not bite off more than you can chew and stuff. Orton says he doesn't care and is gonna make an impact. Jake says he is gonna make and impact as well and goes to get his snake out of the bag when Orton grabs his arm. Jake turns and clotheslines Orton down then picks him up and sets up the DDT while the crowd goes frickin insane. Orton gets out of it and RKO's the Snake, thus killing another legend and ending this fantastic opening segment. Orton got some major heat in this segment and got booed crazy when he RKO'ed the Snake, heres hoping the WWE turns him soon as the seeds have definitely been set well.

Next up was a short handicap match with Christian and Tomko vs. Kane. Match was pretty bad and not needed on this show. It made Christian look like a pussy when he ran from the match to leave Tomko get easily beat by Kane. Kane hit Tomko with a ladder after the match busting him open. Bad hype for the ladder match at Mania as it made one of the opponents (Christian) look below all the others.

Flair is pumping Snitsky up for some reason in the back to attack Batista.

HBK is shown in the back when shocking blast from the past 2 for this show comes in in the form of MARTY JANNETTY. Yes, the Rockers back on TV after all these years and HBK says they will reunite tonight to face La Resistance. Well Fuck Yea, and thanx again WWE.

Next was a good match between 2 more of the ladder match competitors in Edge vs. Shelton Benjamin. Edge attacked Shelton before the bell rang and had Edge beating up Shelton when they went to commercial. A little after commercial Shelton turned the match around and then we had a fantastic match between these two. Great spots and reversals from both men but Shelton looked especially great and showed why he should be on top of this business someday. Match ended when Edge was about to hit Shelton with a ladder after the ref went down but Y2J came down and hit Edge with it instead, letting Shelton hit the T-Bone and win the match. Great match and some good hype and interaction between the ladder match combatants. This match is looking to be fantastic and just one of the great things I'm looking forward to Wrestlemania 21 for.

Next up was the Rockers vs. La Resistance. Another great match here which let Marty and HBK shine and had La Res get some offense in. Marty looked in great shape and both him and Shawn had the crowd in their hands with their tandem offense. The end saw Marty hit the Rocker Dropper to end this great nostalgia trip and leave me with a smile on my face. Marty should put in a good effort against Kurt Angle on Thursday and I feel WWE should keep Marty around afterwards as he can still go and be used more than just hyping what should be the Match of the Year at Wrestlemania between HBK and Kurt.

Trish vs. Christy was hyped but not in as good as segments as in the past. One had Christy training with Tajiri on her kicks and one had the great Trish Stratus do some good mic work and then attack the generic loser diva Maria. Oh wow. Still, the previous hype for this bout has been perfect so a little lapse is alright. I just hope Christy has trained some and doesn't embarass herself at Wrestlemania.

More of Ric pumping up Snitsky for a match tonight with Batista. Batista shows up and doesn't speak much but at least looks cool doing it.

Nest up was another great match. Wow 3 damned good matches in one night, hell yes. It was Benoit vs. Triple H again and they did some good work. Benoit looked strong throughout and hit 9 Germans, 1 flying headbutt, and 2 crossfaces to punish the Game. The match ended badly tho when all it took was a ref distraction, a low blow, and a pedigree to put Benoit out and give HHH his first win against the Crippler exactly one year after losing to him at Wrestlemania 20. Oh well, I'm not gonna let a bad ending ruin and otherwise great match.

Hassan came out and bitched about not having something to do at Wrestlemania. I hope he has something decent to do if they are gonna spend time on this guy. Segment didn't accomplish much more than to let us know Hassan is still around.

Slow boring match next between Batista and Gene Snitsky. Sad main event considering what was previous. Batista didn't look to good against Snitsky so that doesn't bode well for him being the main event guy if he wins at Mania. Still, the crowd were into him and we almost finally had a beatdown by HHH, Flair, and Snitsky on Big Dave when Kane ran in to help. HHH told Batista he picked the man right behind him to face him next week. I guess he meant Kane and hopefully the Big Red Machine can put on something good with Batista. After Batistas turn his momentum has been slowly going down so I hope some excitement can happen for this feud next week.

Okay, this show was great. Surprising nostalgiac returns, a few segments, plus 3 fucking fantastic matches completely cancel out what little bad there was and this show gets a very strong grade of:

A

3/10/05 Smackdown Review

Show opens with a recap of Orlando Jordan beating John Cena last week for the US Title.

Then. JBL and his cabinet come down to the ring. Good though long speech by JBL about OJ as the new US Champ and how he is gonna beat Cena at Wrestlemania. JBL's mic skills are good enough to make me care about OJ as US Champ. Added some more good heat the the Cena/JBL WWE Title match aqt Wrestlemania. Cool part where the blew up Cena's spinner title in a garbage can and then giving OJ the old (and in my opinion better) US Title.

Then we had a NO DQ match with Heidenreich and Booker T. Good match, especially with Heidenreich involved. They didn't use the NO DQ rule too much but was still pretty good. Heres hoping this was the end of this feud.

They show a clip of Orton challenging the Undertaker to a match at Wrestlemania. Then we go to Teddy Long telling Carlito to go find the Undertaker and find out his decision. Alright segment for what it was for.

Backstage Rey and Eddie are talking about defending the Tag Titles later in the show against JBL and OJ. Chavo came in a put a little more heat between Eddie and Rey. Hope they make Rey vs. Eddie next week for Mania. Will be a helluva matchup and a great addition for the Smackdown side of the card. Just wonderin if Eddie will go heel before or after Wrestlemania.

Carlito is looking for the Taker. Acting scared at every sound. Carlito is damned good at his role. Hope he gets back in the ring soon to back up his cool character with some cool wrestling.

Slow, boring match between Jindrak and Luther Reigns. Both guys have promise but didnt show it in this match. Was only 3 minutes and ended terribly when Jindrak gave Reigns a left hook to win. Yes, someone just won a match with a punch. Not good.

Cena comes out to the ring with a steel rod and wants to fight. He has picked it up on the mic and is much more intense. Glad he is being good on the mic again as it is making me more and more pumped for his Mania match where he will probably be the new WWE Champ. Teddy came down and said Cena wasn't gonna get to fight JBL and co. and gets FU'ed by Cena for his trouble. Good, intense segment by John Cena though FUing the GM is kind of odd for a face to do. Guess they want him to be against the "man"(which in this case is black) kinda like Stone Cold.

Kurt Angle comes out and talks about HBK. Angle is golden on the mic and I am so pumped for the HBK/Angle match at Wrestlemania. He then says since he is going to do what HBK did in his whole career in 4 weeks we are going to have a ladder match right now. Kurt squashes some local guy and climbs the ladder and gets hius medal. He then says that wasn't hard and that next week he will face Marty Jannety one on one. Can't wait or that as I wonder what is gonna go down. They have been building this HBK/Angle match real good and it continued tonight.

Josh Matthews interviews Big Show and says Akebono challenges Big Show to a sumo match at Wrestlemania which Show quickly accepts. Short, decent segment setting up a spectacle of a match at Mania. It will be cool to see two guys of this size in the ring at the same time and hope the American public like it since a Sumo Champ none of us know is involved.

Carlito comes to the ring and calls the Undertaker down to the ring. GONG and then the Takers usual boring, long ass entrance. He chokes Carlito and says Randy Orton will rest in peace at Wrestlemania. Carlito gets a tombstone to top it off. This would have been fine if the Takers entrance wasnt twice as long as the segment itself. Next week there will be a contract signing between Orton and Taker. Will be cool to see Orton on Smackdown and I am looking forward to this match as well. Mania is looking good so far. Not sure who should win the Taker/Orton match but there are positives for each guy.

Main event is now with JBL and OJ vs. Eddie and Rey for the tag gold. Decent match with the usual focus on Rey for a long time in the middle for a hot tag to Eddie. Match ends by DQ when JBL hits Rey with a chair as he goes for the 619. Then a brawl when the Bashams enter and help JBL and OJ beatdown the champs. Cena then comes out and clears house with his metal pole. Show ends with a staredown with Cena in the ring and JBL in the audience. Match was alright and ending with the staredown was okay.

This show had great buildup for Mania but seriously lacked much actual wrestling. Sad when the best match was Booker T vs. Heidenreich but whatever, as long as Wrestlemania doesn't dissapoint I can deal with these heavy hype shows. Sad there was no cruiserweight action this week as I guess the WWE still hates that division.

I will rate this episode a C+ so there ya go.

WWE Smackdown 03-03-05

Well here is my first review of a WWE show. I originally posted this at lopforums.com, a wrestling message board I belong to a frequent quite bit. This was kinda geared toward them so it may be a little hard for people not too into wrestling to get.

Well, decent Smackdown! tonight with a few cool little things covering up some of the bad wrestling.

Cena's opening speech was pretty good but not "main event" good and I still don't see him being ready to main event Wrestlemania. C'mon guy pick it up. But wow, what a speech later on by the champ. Very, very intesne and was perfect to make people just despise JBL.

I thought the tag match at the beginning was actually pretty bad. I don't know why. All the guys seemed uninterested in the match and the timing was a bit off. Did notice Eddie continually having the ref distracted so maybe that was for some heat between he and Rey. The one punch KO by Jindrak on Reigns was a bit weak. Could be a decent little undercard feud between Jindrak and Reigns but should have just been another brawl instead of a one punch surprise.

WWE still are gradually building this cool little Carlito/Teddy feud. Hope the payoff is something decent.

Nice bout between Heidenreich and Booker. I liked this match and thought both guys did pretty good in it. Way better than the tag title match in my opinion. And while I don't like Booker in this feud, its not too bad. Just reminds me too much of the Snitsky/Shelton 3 week feud with the DQ by heel then a DQ on face. Heres hoping the third match is next week and Booker does what Shelton did and just win the damned match.

Nice segment with Angle and HBK. Cool visual seeing HBK emerge from his disguise and attack Angle. Sure it wasn't as intense as the attack Monday by Angle but made Angle know Michaels is there and ready.

Useless stuff with the diva losers. Waste of a mixed tag match, complete waste. Sure it got Big Show on TV but the segment later on would have been enough. And instead of showing us how bad Michelle is now why couldnt they just train her and debut her on Raw in a few months. I'm very mad at this because this time could have been used for some Chavo/London buildup which I guess the WWE already forgot. What else should I have expected?

Odd segment between Chavo and Rey supposedly trying to put heat between Rey and Eddie. Didn't like the segment as it seemed too obvious of a way to hint at a turn and just kinda made me feel like I was being talked down to.

I'm cool with Big Show vs. Akebono at Mania. Shows segment with Funaki should have been his TV time for the night. I know alot of people think the Akebono match is a stupid idea but I like it cuz it will give a spectacle type feel for one of the Mania matches. And even though most Americans don't know Akebono, WWE does stand for WORLD Wrestling Entertainment and would be a good thing to make the Japanese think the WWE actually cares about them.

Main Event was pretty good between OJ and Cena though its sad when a flunkie like Orlando completely outshines the main eventer of Wrestlemania in a match. Everything Cena did in the ring seemed boring and way too overdone while Orlando's offense(when he was allowed to have some) was good and actually showed some depth to his moveset. Nice to see a new US Champ and this match almost made OJ look like he will be a credible US Champ. Plus it put some more heat between Cena and JBL which is always a good thing. Plus it was very funny seeing JBL spin the title while OJ was holding it with his big dumb grin on.

My overall grade for this show will be a:
B

What happens after you die?

Another Idea from http://www.blogideas.com

Well, ain't this a tough question. What happens when we die? Hmm, I have no fucking clue.

Everyone always want to what happens when we die. People obsess about it, think about it alot, and hell most religions and beliefs systems are halfway completely based on this answer. Its that question everyone wants the answer to but at the same time don't want to find out.

I'm not entirely sure what happens and I'm not sure I care. I consider myself to be agnostic and don't believe in any God or religion but thats a whole other discussion right there.

At first thought I would just say when we die, thats it, its over. We die and our body decomposes. Nothing less, nothing more. We are over. That answer seems the most plausible to me and like it makes the most sense to me. But another part of me really hates that idea.

I just don't want to believe that after a lifetime of doing whatever I did and learning and such that in one instant it can all be over. Where are my thoughts gonna go, why can't I just keep thinking the way I do now. Why must it end just because my body has run its course. I would like to believe my thoughts and memories do go on but I can't comprehend how and in what way.

I and everyone else wants to know what happens when we die. But mybe it meant to be a big surprise. I mean the only people who know the answer are those who have died. Our whole life leads to something, to one specific point, where we die. If so much time is spent leading up to an event, how can something no big happen. I just want to live life right now, I am interested in where we end up but don't to obsess about it. I will find out someday. I just hope death lives up to the hype.
